Marcy Samat was privileged to present her EAGLE/PURPLE HEART CANE to the Grand Marshal of the Norwood Park Memorial Day Parade, Mr Stanley Pokrzywa. Mr. Pokrzywa is a 92 year old Pearl Harbor survivor. He has received a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and many other honors and medals.

Stan Dolkoski, Marcy Samat and Marlin Mass visited the JESSY BROWN V.A. Medical Center where they presented canes to the much deserving veterans. There is need of many more canes.
Please consider carving a cane for a deserving veteran?
Thanks for your help.
Canes can be given to a club member who can bring them to Stan at our meeting. He will see that they go to a disabled veteran.

ARTISTRY IN WOOD FALL SHOW
The October "Artistry in Wood Show" will once again be held at the DuPage County Fair Grounds. Dates are October 23th & 24th 2010.
Show hours are 10:00AM - 4:00PM both days.
This year table covers WILL NOT be supplied. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN COVER.
Cost of an eight foot table is $35.00. Applications will be sent out early spring. If you do not receive one but would like to participate in the show please contact Terri Pijut at woodwizzards2@comcast.net or call 847-458-2919 to have one sent to you.
Dinner was held at Morgan's Charhouse on Roosevelt Rd. This year all seemed to have a great time. We had our own private room that could hold 50 people. We had a total of 45 attendees. Cost was $20.00 per person. This fee only covers the food. Tax and tip were picked up from the show profits
